Elton Lammie was born "country"!!!!!!
His parents always had country music playing at home, in the car, at the relatives and so on.........
Hank Williams, Charley Pride, Conway Twitty, Stompin' Tom, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette were all household names in the Lammie home.  So, it is no surprise, Elton's favorite type of music, is good ole traditional country music.  When Elton first started singing professionally, it was country music that paid the bills.  His first introduction to performance as a country artist took place in Vernon, BC, Canada in a city wide talent search.  Elton took first prize and won a new color television.  He was hooked.  Until that moment, Elton was a drummer in a rock n roll band while his brother Evan sang lead vocals.  But now, singing country music seemed like the perfect fit for Elton's musical aspirations.
Fast forward a few years and you'll note that Elton started winning numerous Country Music Singing Contests all across the country.
In fact, over a span of 4 years, Elton won or placed in the top three in over 20 Talent Competitions.  This success led to a Recording Contract in the hallowed ground of Nashville Tennessee, where Elton started to record his compositions with band members now found in the Country Music Hall of Fame, The Grand Ole Opry and from the Garth Brooks and George Strait's Band.  Elton and his band also won a state wide talent search looking for country music's new hottest band in all of the state of  New York.  As well as earning a spot on CMT as a National Winner of their search for the top new act in Canadian Country Music.
Elton has shared performances with some Country greats......Charlie Daniels, Joe Diffie, Travis Tritt, John Michael Montgomery and more.
Although Elton currently can be found and heard performing numerous genres of music, his first love is Country.  If you are looking to go out and enjoy some country music, check out Elton's 'Where is Elton Playing' section.
